Aiden: (Looking through a Party City magazine)A football player
Me: *SCORE* $9.99... easy!
a week later...
Me: Aiden are you looking forward to being a football player for Halloween?
Aiden: No, I want to be Blue Lightening McQueen
Me: Ok, Lightening McQueen?
Aiden: No, BLUE Lightening McQueen!!!
Me: I don't think I saw that one in the Party City magazine.... oh no...
We had to go old school, get dirty and creative this year. I put Maddie in charge... well, she put herself in charge letting me know that she didn't think I could handle this task on my own. A cardboard box, printed out logo's and paint were gathered and "BLUE" Lightening McQueen was born... (for those of you who don't know who the "blue" one is... in the movie "Cars" there was about a 30 second daydream by the main character Lightening where he wanted to be sponsored by Dinoco where his car would then be painted blue instead of red)
Pretty awesome right??? Aiden was so excited he loved his Blue Lightening McQueen (thank you Maddie!!). He even took it to school for Character Day.
Would he wear it to go trick-or-treating??? Nooooo...... he didn't want to go to a single door, carry his bucket or get candy... he wanted to give out the candy...
He got very excited when he saw other trick-or-treaters coming to the door... can't say he is much for showing his emotions when they got there...
this kid... a mind of his own already!! We will see how next year goes!
